What the hell is a book?

Ew the other day my boyfriend said he was gonna take me shopping. i was soooo excited because i really need a new pair of shoes. anyway he brought me into this place i had NEVER seen before. it was filled with some weird object that ive only ever seen behind lawyers in the movies. he told me they were called "books" and that you read stories from them. hahahahah isnt that what movies are for?!? what an idiot. do people still actually use these "books" or are they as dead as greek? (or latin...i always forget which one people dont speak anymore. i mean just speak ENGLISH!)
