How can I tell if he is interested?

I like this guy, but cant tell if he likes me.. There have been occasions where I will look at him and he will look away quickly. He messes with me ALOT. Every time he sees me, he says "ew" jokingly of course. Hes really stubborn though. How do I get him to gain interest, and how can I tell if he is interested?
